     Madeira is enjoying an extremely temperate climate due to its geographical location some 1,000 km off the southern Portuguese coast line and 500 km for African coasts. The island is enjoying an extremely sweet and great climate making it a fantastic destination for people who don't like to be too hot, but enjoy still the beaches during the European winter time! Madeira with the Azores Islands, belongs to Portugal and is well known for its worldwide exported wine.
     With the years, the island became also famous for its sports and water activities, scuba diving becoming more and more popular in these warmer and clear Atlantic Ocean waters. The underwater landscapes will take the divers from shallow rocky reefs to steep drop offs and natural caves, where the abundant Atlantic marine life will be squirming around the divers. In these waters, it is not uncommon to see schools of tunas, big groupers, moray eels, numerous octopuses, and some barracudas, occasional sharks, dolphins and whales, who are passing by at certain time of the year en route to the warmer waters of Africa and back up to northern Atlantic. Water temperature in Madeira will be between 17 and 25oC depending on the season, and full 5mm suit is enough to be comfortable in.
