Diving Packages in the Bay of Fundy, Maritimes, New Brunswick, Canada
NAUI Instructor Training Courses in Saint John, NB, Canada

We offer you the discovery of an amazing and unique northern hemisphere underwater ecosystem: the Bay of Fundy in eastern Canada, New Brunswick.
Saint John is known as the very first loyalist settlement in Canada, but is also known to have the biggest tidal movement in the world! Up to 9 to 12 meters (30 to 40 feet) every six hours! Saint John is also home of the famous "Reversing Falls", where sea water rushing in meets river water going out, creating strong whirlpools and dramatic foamy water action.
New Brunswick offers great activities in the summer time such as hiking the Fundy Trail, great sailing opportunities in the Atlantic Ocean to Grand Manan Island or up the Saint John or Kennebecassis rivers, beach sunbathing, shopping in Saint John's harbor and wharves, completely renovated respecting the late XVIII th century architectural style. The region also offers great diving opportunities and the chance to see a unique and specific ecosystem. The marine life here has evolved around the huge amount of water movement, bringing nutrients rich waters from the ocean. The Bay of Fundy water remains cool during the summer, but does not freeze during the winter. The water temperature in the summer is around 12 to 13 oC at 20 meters depth, visibility around 9 to 12 meters.

The marine life in the Bay of Fundy is used to tremendous water movements, and has developed in size due to the huge amount of nutrients brought with every tidal movement into the Bay.
Dives will show huge sea stars, wolf eels, lobsters by the dozens, and a great amount of crabs, benthic fishes and sea anemones, white and feathery, making walls and bottom like a snowy Christmas night.
During the summer months, whales patrol the Bay and offer an incredible sight as they gently cruise for food or rest near the surface. Whale watching tours are also organized on a daily basis during the summer time.
Test dive spots are Grand Manan and Deer Islands for wreck and wall dives with incredible marine life.
