     We propose the adventurous diver one of the best diving destinations along the western Pacific coast of the American continent: Baja California southern tip on the famous and rich Sea of Cortez: La Paz.
     The Sea of Cortez is breeding ground for a variety of pelagics and sea mammals, making the place an unique experience for divers, snorkelers and naturalists alike. During the months of February and March, the Sea of Cortez is home of migrating whales, and is one of the best place in the world for whale watching.
     The Sea of Cortez also became famous for its schooling hammerhead sharks, moving lazily together by the hundreds, forcing sometimes divers to go through a cloud of sharks on their way up and down, giving the divers on their way up the thrilling sight of the above picture! The region is home to great dive sites giving experienced and beginner divers an excellent and thrilling dive holiday.
 
 

 

 
 

     Access to La Paz is either by flying in its international airport, or driving down from Cabo San Lucas, some 200 km north. We could arrange a pick from Cabo without difficulties. Direct flights from L.A are available, or a bus drive from Tijuana some 1,000 km north at the US border.
     Many other outdoor activities could be done in La Paz and surrounding such as snorkeling with the sea lions, and other group of mammals resident in the Sea of Cortez waters, hiking in the outback, or sea kayaking the crystal clear water and enjoying from the surface the investigative behaviors of some endemic species.
